Join us, the first weekend in October, to enjoy live music, good food, games, trophies and more! Come out to see vehicles modified like you’ve never seen before.
The purpose of the car show is to educate first responders and the public, provide awareness, and raise money for the Community Living Services Program (CLSP) that helps people with disabilities get the vehicle modifications they need to be mobile.
The Freedom Car Show features vehicles that have been modified with adaptive equipment to help people with disabilities be mobile. However, we want all car, truck and bike enthusiasts to join us. If it's unique or unusual we want to see it! All years, makes, and models welcome!
If you want to see car modifications you've never seen before, you don't want to miss this one-of-a-kind event!
If you are unable to attend or sponsor the car show, please consider giving to CLSP through our GoFundMe Campaign to give freedom to people with disabilities.
The West Virginia Statewide Independent Living Council along with the West Virginia Centers for Independent Living hosts the annual Independent Living (IL) Day at the Capitol. This event celebrates Independent Living programs, highlighting unmet needs, and promotes the services of the WV Independence Network (WIN).
The WIN empowers West Virginians living with disabilities through advocacy, skills training, information & referral, transition services, and peer support. The WIN centers provide resources that allow disabled West Virginians to make choices for their lives and advocate for their needs.
Share your story with legislators, advocate for independent living, and support people with disabilities. This day of educating and advocacy brings together WIN center’s staff, disability advocates, and individuals with disabilities from across the state.

A two-day event hosted by the West Virginia Statewide Independent Living Council's new Fair Shake Initiative (FSI), that on day one, provides education on the legislative process and tips on how to approach Legislators. With this information you'll be ready to educate policy makers on the issues that are important to promoting Independent Living.
Day two is a trip to the Capitol for a Rally and an opportunity to visit your representative about your concerns on current issues. While you are there you can also visit the vendors that support the Independent Living Philosophy.

By far the most anticipated day at the Capitol. This popular event draws a very large crowd. You'll find your representatives socializing with advocates and enjoying the ice cream. This is a great opportunity to meet the policy makers of our state.
