About the Freedom Car Show & Its Mission
The WV Independence Network (WIN) is a coalition of Centers for Independent Living dedicated to providing services, resources, and advocacy that empower individuals with disabilities to live life to the fullest. Our mission is simple yet powerful : maximize independence and community participation for all.
Why We’re Here
Every dollar raised from the Freedom Car Show goes directly to the Community Living Services Program (CLSP), managed by WIN. This vital statewide program helps economically eligible West Virginians with disabilities by funding:
✔ Assistive devices
✔ Durable medical equipment
✔ Home modifications & wheelchair ramps
✔ Vehicle adaptations for accessible transportation
Through CLSP, individuals can remain in their homes, return to their communities, and live with dignity and independence.
Our Goal
The Freedom Car Show isn’t just an event it’s a movement to raise funds and awareness. We want everyone to understand the life changing work that Centers for Independent Living do to make West Virginia a better place to live, work, and play for people with disabilities. Because for those we serve, living independently is true freedom.

The West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office administers WVABLE, a savings and investment account program designed to give people with disabilities more independence and financial security.
WVABLE is made possible by the Achieving a Better Life Experience in West Virginia Act and allows qualifying individuals with a disability the opportunity to save and invest more than $2,000 without losing eligibility for certain government benefits that are critical to their health and well-being, such as SSI and Medicaid. Up to $18,000 per calendar year (2024) may be contributed into a WVABLE account, and an additional $14,580 (2024) of income may be contributed by employed beneficiaries - increasing the total annual contribution limit to $32,580 (2024).
Earnings grow tax free and can be used at any time to pay for qualified disability expenses. Currently, individuals who developed a disability before the age of 26*may be eligible to open an account. (*On January 1, 2026, the eligibility criteria will increase to before age 46.)

Built by Faith is a band that is just that: BUILT BY FAITH. Matt was a founding member of the rock band 5 Star Rebellion, which has played all over WV and at the Freedom Car Show every year since its formation. In October, Matt and his wife Jennifer were called by God for a greater purpose. His best friend and 5 Star Rebellion drummer, Steven, and his wife Krissy also felt the pull and decided to walk the same path and join the ministry.
At that point, Built by Faith became inevitable! Playing songs by bands like Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Third Day, Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Josh Baldwin, Megan Woods, and many more, they intend to spread the joy of God and have a great time while doing it!!
